Kiri in the comedy show ‘Peacock’

Following the final Hampshire-based performance, Hampshire County Council's Fostering Service would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Kiri Pritchard-McLean and her fostering inspired comedy show ‘Peacock’ for allowing us to be a part of it.

Kiri and her team as well as the fantastic venues she has performed in across Hampshire have been brilliant in allowing our team to be present at her top-tier comedy show over the past few months. This has been not only in inviting our foster carers to attend but allowing our service to have a stand at her shows to engage interested attendees about fostering and raise awareness about it as a whole.

By supporting Kiri Pritchard-McLean's Hampshire tour dates, we have aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of fostering and the positive impact it has on children's lives to a whole new audience. Fostering is a rewarding and transformative experience, and events like these helped us reach more people who might consider opening their homes and hearts to a child in need.

Kiri Pritchard-McLean has made a name for herself with her insightful and hilarious comedy, touching on a variety of social issues and personal experiences and she has had a busy few years. As well as hosting Live at the Apollo, fronting the Radio 4 panel show Best Medicine and starting a comedy school, she has become a foster carer!

As a fostering service, we understand the importance of community, support, and the power of a good laugh to bring people together. This collaboration has aligned perfectly with our mission to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people in care.

Thank you again Kiri; we wish you all the best of the rest of the tour and hope others around the country are inspired by your incredible comedic and heartwarming take on becoming a foster carer!
