The Professional Record Body NHS Health Checks coding defines how NHS Health Check data should be captured and managed.

Summary of mandatory training requirements
To be completed prior to delivering NHS Health Checks:
- Foundation training specified by the commissioner - repeat every two years
- Behavioural risk factor training (smoking, alcohol, healthy weight/eating and physical activity - repeat every two years
- Completed learner and assessor workbook for the NHS Health Checks competency framework, signed off by clinical supervisor - reviewed a minimum of annually
- Within six months of starting and then every two years: half day face-to-face (or where required, virtual may be considered) training including motivational interviewing and communication of risk - repeat every two years.
