Mental health and wellbeing

Looking after your mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after your physical health. This includes our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing.

The five ways to wellbeing help us to understand which elements can help us maintain or gain positive mental wellbeing:

  • Connecting with people around you
  • Being active by building activity into your everyday routine
  • Continuing to learn in order to gain self-confidence and learn new skills
  • Giving – helping others can boost wellbeing
  • Taking notice of the small things to be thankful for
