This activity will run from 10:00-15:00 and is suitable for 16+ (no upper limit but please be aware that there will be some element of physical work). You will have the opportunity to gain valuable practical learning whilst gaining some entry level AQA qualifications. If you are looking to improve your animal skills, learn new skills or you are looking to have a taste of working in the animal care industry, these taster sessions are for you. If you would like to attend and not gain a AQA then we can accommodate this.
Please meet at the Farm Shop five minutes before the session start time and your activity leader will meet you there. Please have your confirmation booking email ready to show and a printed version of the form sent out in the confirmation emails.
You will be provided with overalls to wear which is essential for biosecurity reasons so please ensure you understand this before attending. Please dress appropriately for the weather so if hot, light clothes for underneath the overalls and hat and sun cream or if raining, please bring waterproofs as we will be outside regardless of weather. We do not provide shoes so please ensure you are wearing wellie boots or appropriate walking shoes. Please no open toed shoes. We will stop for a drink and a break at 11.15-11.30 and for lunch at 1.00-1.30. Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle for the day.
