WildWays Young Explorers gives children the freedom to explore, build and ask questions as they discover the natural world. Sessions include shelter building, pond dipping, den construction, navigation games, crafts and hands-on nature investigations.
Each session follows a consistent and predictable rhythm - a warm welcome circle, a move into guided discovery, time for independent discovery and creative play and finishing with time to reflect together as a group. The familiar structure helps explorers to feel secure, build confidence and allows them to take healthy risks within a safe and supportive environment.
Children develop resilience, teamwork and independence while deepening their understanding of habitats, weather, sustainability and the changing seasons.
