Students and other youth groups

Student groups (Age 11+)

We are happy to put together a guided programme for students, however small groups of up to thirty students may wish to book as a self-guided group. Older students may wish to use our permanent and temporary art exhibitions as well as our extensive plant collection to support their work.

Youth groups (including Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs, etc.)

The gardens are a perfect setting to bring your pack for a guided tour as part of outdoor badges like Wildlife Explorers or Seasons.

Please complete a schools’ booking form if you would like a guided tour, or you can book as a self-guided group using the form below.

Supervision

You will need to complete your own risk assessments, considering any specific needs your group may have. Please note that we expect supervision of students to be direct. However, if you decide that indirect supervision is appropriate, then students should know how to contact you easily for learning, behaviour, and welfare support (such as first aid).

Your risk assessment should reflect the conservation needs of our site, the needs of other visitors, and areas considered to be of more significant risk (like the tree house, pond area, woodland and pig enclosure).

At the end of the day, please allow 15 minutes to re-group and exit before the gardens close.

Self-guided price and availability

Our self-guided tours are available during our normal opening hours to small groups by prior arrangement. Unfortunately, as a registered charity we cannot waive admission prices as the cost of your visit helps us to maintain the gardens. Please pay on arrival.

Prices are for pre-booked groups (10+ people) and include VAT, but we can give you a VAT receipt if you need to claim this back.
