  • find it difficult to use or access public bus services or
  • live more than 400 metres from an available bus service/stop or
  • have no access to a car and there is no bus service when they need to travel

Voluntary Car Schemes (Good Neighbours groups)

Car schemes run by local people for local people. Volunteer drivers from the community can help by offering transport to those without access to public or private transport. Schemes usually require 48 hours’ notice in order to find a volunteer.
