Who needs to attend a citizenship ceremony

You will need to attend a citizenship ceremony if you’re 18 or over and have successfully applied to become a British citizen. You do not need to contact us to book a ceremony. Once your British Citizenship has been approved by the Home Office and they have authorised a ceremony, they will send us your Certificate of Naturalisation and we will contact you to invite you to attend your citizenship ceremony at one of our register offices.
