Fees

The cost of converting a civil partnership into a marriage varies depending on whether you choose to have a ceremony or not.

For a simple conversion without a ceremony, you’ll pay:

  • £45 to convert your civil partnership
  • £11 for a marriage certificate

For a conversion with a ceremony, you'll pay:

  • £45 to convert your civil partnership
  • A ceremony fee, which will include the cost of two certificates

All ceremony fees quoted here include a £90 non-refundable booking fee. The booking fee is payable when you make a booking with Hampshire Ceremonies. This secures your selected date and time.

Cancellation policy

In the event that you need to cancel a ceremony for which you have already paid, you will be required to provide a minimum of three calendar months’ notice in writing to be eligible for a full refund excluding the non-refundable booking fee. Any requests for a cancellation inside this timescale will also need to be made in writing and will be subject to the following guidelines:

  • One to three calendar months’ notice of cancellation – 50% refund
  • Less that one calendar month notice of cancellation (or failure to cancel) – no refund
