Before booking your appointment

When you give notice of marriage or civil partnership, you must provide the name and address of your chosen venue for your marriage or civil partnership ceremony. Notices are only valid for the venue that is given at your appointment, so if you were to change your mind about the venue, you would need to give notice again.

You must also have decided whether you wish to enter into a marriage or civil partnership. Notices are only valid for the type of ceremony given at your appointment, so if you were to change your mind, you would also need to give notice again.

Any changes would incur an additional notice/civil partnership fee.
