About EMTAS services

Removing barriers and inequalities in attainment and achievement.

Removing barriers and inequalities in attainment and achievement is a priority for any head teacher. By working alongside you and using our specialist knowledge, we can help your school improve educational outcomes for children and young people from Black, Minority Ethnic (BME) and Traveller heritages, including those learning English as an additional language (EAL).

We understand the importance of fostering open and productive relationships between schools, parents, carers, children and young people to remove barriers to learning. Through our specialist resources and support, we provide expert advice, guidance and training to help raise attainment and close the performance gap for children and young people from BME and Traveller groups.

If you are an academy within Hampshire, you have two options:

  1. you can buy in services on a pay-as-you-go basis. Contact [email protected] to discuss this further.
  2. you can purchase an SLA with EMTAS. This is a flexible arrangement whereby you purchase a number of full days from EMTAS and you choose how to use those days from an extensive range of services. It is a more cost-effective way of buying in support than the pay-as-you-go alternative. For full details, see our Academy SLA brochure below.

Service Level Agreements

Current Service Level Agreement with Hampshire maintained and aided primary and secondary schools

As an alternative to our pay-as-you-go sold service offer, Academies can purchase an SLA with EMTAS for however many days they want and build their own package of support to fill those days. This brochure outlines how the Academy SLA offer works.

The SLA offer to schools and Academies on the Isle of Wight includes those services we think will make the most difference to outcomes for children on the island. See the Isle of Wight brochure for details.
