Bespoke training can be provided for teachers, educators, social workers and other professionals to meet individual needs.
Training for schools will benefit whole school staff including administration staff, lunchtime supervisors and governors as well as teaching staff and Learning Support Assistants all of whom may have little or no knowledge about the cultures.
Training for colleagues working with GRT families and communities can be provided and tailored to meet your organisations’ needs. Confident and informed staff are better able to achieve desired outcomes and GRT families and communities are more engaged and willing to work with professionals who are aware of cultural norms and needs.
Some of the EMTAS-run network meetings cover Gypsy, Roma and Traveller-related issues. Find a network meeting with a GRT focus near you on our training page.
Schools with a Service Level Agreement with EMTAS you can access all of our training and e-learning at no additional cost. These services are available to other organisations upon request. Contact Sarah Coles firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
