What our staff say...

Tracy - Senior HR Adviser

I started working for Education Personnel Services in January 2016, moving from the private sector into the public sector for the first time in my career. The role of Senior HR Adviser with particular focus on working with schools attracted me from a personal perspective in that I would be contributing towards improving the performance of schools and outcomes for children.

I am very fortunate to have a great work-life balance as I work part-time, on a job share basis. My job share partner and I were able to attend an in-depth induction together and work collaboratively on the cases we are allocated.

My main responsibilities as a member of the casework team are to act of a dedicated point of contact for Headteachers and Managers for employee relations cases including ill-health, conduct and performance, and also working on the helpdesk advising on all aspects of HR to Business Managers, Headteachers and Governors.

The development and encouragement I have received from the team at Hampshire County Council has been phenomenal, the department is pro-active and forward thinking with a high focus on development and support for all its team members. This was evident throughout the recruitment process and has continued during my time with the organisation.
