Land

An area of land extending to approximately 8.64 ha (21.35 acres) suitable for taking a hay cut and grazing livestock at a maximum stocking rate of 0.25 livestock units per hectare. The successful applicant will be responsible for controlling any weeds (docks/ragwort/thistles/brambles etc) and cutting any hedges at the site which is to be taken as seen.

There are several hibernacula located across the larger area of land to the north of Hook Park Road which are not to be damaged or interfered with in any way. The Council, Countryside Properties (UK) Limited and representatives retain a right to enter the site for ongoing monitoring of the hibernacula. 

Licence fee

Offers invited, licence fee payable annually in advance. Plus an additional admin fee of £750 ex VAT payable on granting of the licence.

Water

A water supply may be available. In the case of water being available the licensee will be responsible for paying for the water used and standing charge.

Fencing

Applicants must decide for themselves if the fencing is adequate to keep any livestock they might wish keep on the land contained. Hedges surround the field, the applicant will be responsible to cut and trim these as required.

The licence is personal to the Licencee. No sub-letting permitted.

An Expression of Interest for Grazing and/or Mowing arrangements should be completed by all applicants. Those who have completed the form will be invited to a viewing day, following which there will be a further application stage.
