Courses
Minstead Study Centre provides educational nature experiences for adults. Throughout the year we run a range of courses based in and around our site. Previous courses have included breadmaking, fruit pruning, willow sculpture and wreathmaking.
Keep an eye on this page, as new and exciting courses will be added for Autumn.

We’re delighted to be part of Hampshire County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme. Through HAF, children who receive Benefit-Related Free School Meals can enjoy a range of exciting holiday activities completely free of charge. This summer, each eligible child can book up to 16 sessions, giving them plenty of opportunities for fun, adventure, and new experiences.
Summer Term Week 1 - Homes and Habitats (3 to 6 August 2026)
These sessions have a focus on the wonderful biodiversity we share our planet with. Children will search for minibeasts, in the woodland and pond, learn & explore how creatures are adapted to find food, water and shelter and much more.
Summer Term Week 2 - Eco Rangers (11 to 13 Aug 2026)
Children will develop team building skills abnd be inspired by nature. Take part in fun nature-based games and hands-on activities, explore our habitats through orienteering trails and learn how we can look after nature and protect the environment around us.
