MOUNTAIN BIKING
We have a fleet of mountain bikes and easy access to cycling trails from our centre in the heart of the New Forest, making us the go to provider for your mountain bike leader qualifications.
MIAS LEVEL ONE
This is a two day course, for those with a medium level of fitness and basic off road mountain bike experience. Day one will be based at Tile Barn whilst Day two is based away from site. Courses are run together with training of the syllabus on day one and a group led journey with assessment on day two.
Candidates and the course instructor will decide after the assessment period whether certification for level 1 is awarded.
The course has a national accreditation with The Association of British Cycle Coaches (A.B.C.C), Cyclist’s Touring Club (C.T.C) and is recognised by the Adventure Activities Licencing Authority (AALA) and Adventuremark.
VELOTECH CYCLE MAINTENANCE COURSES
Velotech courses are nationally recognised awards that qualify you to work in the cycle industry, but they are also a great way to enhance your own knowledge and skills in cycle maintenance for personal use.
The courses range from training and assessment in basic bicycle maintenance, to assessment in bicycle mechanics to an industry standard level.
These courses carry the approval of the Bicycle Association of Great Britain (BAGB), the UK's manufacturers, importers and distributors association.
