Getting here by car

Our site is easy to navigate to and most Satnavs are successful in finding us using the SO42 7UB postcode.

If travelling southbound out of Brockenhurst village, via the railway level crossing, you will see a turning for Church Lane on the left. Continue for 0.5 miles, before arriving at Tile Barn on your right.

If travelling Northbound, from Lymington, turn right onto Church lane just before the railway level crossing at Brockenhurst and continue for 0.5 miles, before arriving at Tile Barn on your right.

Parking

Parking is free and available (however, it is limited) for all guests/activity participants. To minimise our carbon footprint and make parking available to those who need it, please try and bring as few cars as possible. 

In line with our ongoing mission to reduce emissions we have an electric vehicle charging station on site for residents.

Getting here by train

Brockenhurst station is 0.7 miles from Tile Barn Outdoor Centre (15 min walk). Leave the station and turn right onto Lymington Road / A337.

After a short walk turn left onto Church Lane, and continue for 0.5 miles, before arriving at Tile Barn on your right.

Staff

The centre staff have been trained by the Calvert Trust and given disability awareness and activity specific disability training.

Site

  • All paths around the site are wheelchair accessible
  • There is a hearing loop in reception and the bunkhouse
  • In the toilet block there are two purpose-built shower/wet rooms, including an accessible toilet and low-level basins with accessible fittings

Adapted activities

We have a variety of specialised equipment and the ability to adapt all activities so that everyone can participate. When booking your stay with us let us know your requirements so we can tailor the activities to your group.

Bunkhouse

The whole of the bunkhouse is accessible with an ensuite accessible bedroom in the bunkhouse. The bedroom has a mobile hoist and the wet room has a seat in the shower, low level basin with accessible fitting and a slightly higher than usual toilet, also with accessible fittings.

Poppy pods

  • All paths around the pod village are accessible – access to the toilet block is via a gravel path
  • The entrance doors have low threshold access
  • Designated disabled parking bays available
