Street Sense Partners

Street Sense gets partners on board to spread the road safety message.

Bus and train operators, together with the police, have signed up to support Street Sense.

The road safety campaign aimed at teenagers to raise awareness about the dangers of being distracted at the roadside is now escalating into an exciting transport campaign that is designed to make travel safer for school age teenagers, an age group particularly distracted on their travels by mobiles and music players.

The transport operators will help to spread the word by displaying specially designed posters and artwork on their buses and trains across Hampshire including:

  • Stagecoach South providing panels for displaying Street Sense posters on their fleet of 250 buses
  • South West Trains providing poster advertising opportunities at several of train stations in the county
  • Hampshire Constabulary has also produced a radio commercial and typography video.
All of the StreetSense partners share a focus on keeping our Hampshire community and transport users safer on the roads and rail networks and reducing casualties. With the support from these key partners, young people will now see and hear these key messages when travelling on public transport across Hampshire.
