About StreetSense
'StreetSense' is a road safety campaign aimed at secondary school students aged 11 -16
The StreetSense campaign aims to reduce the number of casualties among young people on Hampshire's roads. It highlights the dangers of being distracted at the roadside when using phones or talking to friends, and reminds them to give the road their full attention.
The campaign also reminds young people how to stay safe as they travel to and from school, whether on foot, by bike, or in a vehicle.
This is achieved through interactive presentations, discussions and established 'Theatre in Education' performances. These resources explore the importance of decision making and planning appropriate routes as young people become more independent.
The StreetSense campaign is run by Hampshire County Council.
