Support for families with children in early years settings, schools or colleges in Hampshire
Schools, colleges and early years settings have been awarded funding that they can use to provide support to families they recognise as being in need.
It is not means-tested, and settings have discretion over the type of support that might be offered. This might include, for example: supermarket vouchers, warm clothing, white goods, blankets.
If I need support, what do I need to do?
Contact the setting your child attends. This could be a nursery, pre-school, childminder, school or college, and ask them how you might be able to access support from the Household Support Fund.
Other sources of support:
If a parent or carer is in receipt of certain benefits, then their child may be able to access free school meals.
Students aged 16 to 18 may be eligible for free lunchtime meals at college or in places of further education, depending on circumstances.
Help may be available with accessing childcare. See Childcare Choices for details.
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme provides enriching activities and healthy food to some of Hampshire’s most vulnerable children during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays
