If you have ever fancied carving your own unique spoon, then here is your chance!
This creative workshop combines two heritage crafts; spoon carving and making twig brooms out of foraged materials, to celebrate the beauty of Autumn on the farm.
Mandie will take you step by step through the process of carving spoons from freshly sourced green hazel as well as dry hazel. You will then create your own traditional twig broom, perfect for sweeping leaves or learning to fly! You will be able to create at least one spoon and one twig broom during this workshop, which runs from 10am to 2pm, with a break for lunch.
This workshop is suitable for ages 14+. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult - both parties need to purchase a ticket for the workshop.
The cost of £50.00 includes all materials, tuition, use of tools, hot drinks and homemade cake! Your ticket also includes free parking and entrance to Manor Farm (from 2-5pm, after workshop ends). Please bring a packed lunch and comfortable walking shoes (for foraging).
Workshops require a minimum number of places to be sold in order for them to go ahead. If this minimum is not achieved 24-hour before the event, we reserve the right to cancel the event and refund any tickets booked.
If a tutor is unavailable to run their course, a suitable replacement tutor will be sought and you will be contacted. If we are unable to find an appropriate substitute, we will refund your ticket.
