Decorating the ceremony room

Looking to decorate your ceremony room to reflect your unique style? If your ceremony is in one of our registration offices, there are two ways you can choose to decorate.

Decorations package

Decorate your ceremony room in an affordable way, without the stress of arranging it yourself. For all new bookings at Castle Hill (Winchester), Basingstoke and Fareham Registration Offices, you can now opt-in for our decorations package. Please note that if you have an existing booking, we may not be able to accommodate this request.

If you opt in for this package, your ceremony room will be decorated by our team before your arrival, with no need to source the items yourself. Just pick this option when you book your ceremony, and we’ll handle the rest!

We have a catalogue of decorations included for hire, that are all in-keeping with the character of each of our ceremony rooms. An example of items included are:

  • an artificial flower arch and/or flower plinths
  • artificial flower table arrangement
  • aisle lanterns
  • chair bows

Should you wish to bring additional decorations with you, please be aware that someone of your choice will need to set up the decorations before the start of your ceremony as our team are unable to help with this. After your ceremony finishes, please promptly remove your decorations so that the room is ready for others to use. There will be access to your ceremony room 30 minutes before, and after your ceremony. For health and safety reasons, furniture cannot be moved.

Fees

All ceremony fees quoted here include a £25 non-refundable booking fee. The booking fee is payable when you make a booking with Hampshire Ceremonies. This secures the decoration services for your selected date and time. The remaining fee is payable 3 months before your ceremony date.

  • Monday to Friday: £85
  • Saturday: £100
  • Sunday: £120

If your ceremony is taking place from 1 April 2025 onwards, please note the fees are subject to change.

Cancellation policy

In the event that you need to cancel the decorations service, you will be required to provide a minimum of three calendar months’ notice in writing to be eligible for a full refund excluding the non-refundable booking fee. Any requests for a cancellation inside this timescale will also need to be made in writing and will be subject to the following guidelines:

  • one to three calendar months’ notice of cancellation – 50% refund
  • less that one calendar month notice of cancellation (or failure to cancel) – no refund

DIY decor

Why not add a personal touch to your ceremony room with your own decorations? If you want to decorate the room, speak to our expert team beforehand so we can discuss your options.
