Giving away

Being given away is an optional part of your ceremony. It is different to being walked or accompanied down the aisle. You can choose someone to accompany you down the aisle, who will then take their seat with the other guests.

You may choose the same person, or someone different, who’ll be called up to answer a simple question, such as ‘do you bring [your name] happily into the love and care of their chosen partner?’ before you begin the legal ceremony.
