Joanne (Jo) Spargo

Strategic HR Adviser

Jo joined EPS in February 2023 as a Senior HR Adviser in the Casework Team, having previously worked as an HR Advisor/HR Business Partner for Schools in another local authority; providing professional HR advice and guidance to Head Teachers and Senior Leaders. Prior to this, Jo has over 20 years of HR experience working in various public sector settings including NHS Trusts and Local Government departments, providing HR guidance on employee relations casework and resourcing support.

Jo currently works as part of the EPS Strategic Team and has a portfolio including Affordable School projects, School reorganisation, Resilience and Retention, and provides support to the Head of EPS. Jo is an Associate member of the CIPD and has a Post Graduate Diploma (PgDIP) in Personnel and Development, CIPD Level 7.
