Michelle Vaughan
Casework Manager
Michelle Vaughan is an experienced HR professional with an extensive career at Hampshire County Council. Michelle began her career within Education People Services as a Senior HR Adviser in the Casework Team, building a strong foundation in human resources, employee relations, and education-focused HR practice.
Michelle has developed in-depth expertise in human resources, employee relations, and education-sector HR, and has progressed through a number of senior and leadership roles, including Casework Team Leader and Strategic HR Adviser, leading on Affordable Schools and workforce initiatives.
Currently, Michelle serves as Schools Casework Manager, with responsibility for over 25 staff, providing leadership, direction, and assurance across complex casework, performance management, and employee relations matters.
In addition to her core roles, Michelle has undertaken a variety of other assignments during her time at Hampshire County Council, including work within HR Operations (policy review), Children’s Services, and the Strategic Recruitment Team, further broadening her organisational and strategic HR experience.
Outside of her professional role, Michelle is also a Vice Chair of Governors at a local primary school, reinforcing her strong commitment to education and governance.
Michelle holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Human Resource Management (CIPD Level 7) and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
