Hampshire Music Service (HMS) want to ensure that our programmes are fully accessible and affordable to all children and young people in Hampshire. This includes supported access to instrument hire, county and area ensembles and music lessons in school.

- Hub Scholars instrumental and vocal awards

The scheme is intended for pupils in year 11 or below who have demonstrated a high level of musical ability.
Successful applicants will receive 15 hours of specialist, individual teaching.
We expect successful applicants to:
- provide feedback on their experiences at least once a year
- represent the Hampshire Music Education Hub in performances during the academic year

This grant scheme is open to people over 18 years of age. The fund was set up from a legacy left by former Hampshire teacher Mrs Hayton (original name Dayas).
Successful applicants receive funding for lessons to:
- develop new musical interests
- refresh musical skills in singing or playing an instrument
- develop skills in areas such as composition, conducting and performance

- The Friends of Music in Winchester

The Friends of Music in Winchester is a small charity which supports young people in their musical education.
They are able to award grants towards:
- the hire or purchase of instruments
- help with tuition fees
- attendance at training courses
- musical projects

- Hampshire Foundation for Young Musicians

The Hampshire Foundation for Young Musicians a charity setup to advance the music education of young people up to the age of 25 who reside or are educated principally in Hampshire, including Portsmouth and Southampton
Funds are available which enable young musicians to undertake studies or specific projects in connection with:
- Composition
- conducting
- instrumental and vocal performance
with grants, for example, for:
- music tuition
- music course fees
(Areas such as music in education, music technology, musicology and participation in competitions of international standard are included)
Regrettably, funds are not available for the purchase of musical instruments, equipment or sheet music, nor for general undergraduate or postgraduate course fees. The Foundation welcomes applications for grants for music tuition, music course fees and other activities which complement music making within the community.
