About us

Hampshire Health in Education is a programme delivered by Public Health, working with a range of key health and education partners. It supersedes Hampshire Healthy Schools previously coordinated by Children’s Services.

We provide:

  • Health and education information
  • Teaching and learning resources
  • Training for staff on a range of health topics
  • Health and Wellbeing surveys for pupils, staff and settings to identify trends and gaps in provision. The surveys cover topics such as emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships and bullying, healthy eating, smoking and vaping, the confidence of staff, and resources and policies within your setting. They are carried out every two years and the results will help you prioritise school improvements, demonstrate good practice, and pupil and staff engagement. The results will help us prioritise support for education settings such as e-Learning training, online teaching resources, guidance, and information.

We have developed a Healthy Early Years programme and award that can be freely accessed by all Early Years settings in Hampshire via the Services for Young Children Moodle page. We are also developing a Hampshire Health and Wellbeing Award for schools

Our Aim:

To enable educational settings across Hampshire to confidently and competently deliver health and wellbeing knowledge, support and action to children and young people, helping them to have the best start in life.
