Join resident artist Mandy for her slow stitch and printing workshop.
What the session consists of:
Initial layers of ink applied to a material base using a mix of Lino stamps, rubber stamps and contact printing with real leaves, grasses & wallpapers, etc. When ink is dry enough, decorative stitches and coloured smaller fabric pieces are layered on top using slow/hand stitching. In all workshop sessions, basic running stitch is all you need to finish your piece, although you may wish to learn new stitches as you go.
Material, stamps, inks and threads are provided. Each month has an optional activity.
