Flatbreads for Beginners
Come along to this beginners bread making class to explore making 'Flatbreads', a day of contrasting skills and excitement.
Using different flours and widely ranging techniques, explore flatbreads from Scandinavian rye crisp bread to the wheaten types of the Middle East, beginning with the pita bread baked in a punishingly hot wood-fired oven for the best result. You will learn about folding, shaping and docking.
Also enjoy further earthy flavours provided by Italian focaccia.
Lunch, Tea/coffee will also be provided throughout the day.
Your tutor, Paul Merry who has been an artisan baker for 40 years, and a teacher of bread making courses for nearly 20 years.
