Booking and pricing

Booking and pricing information for schools

School residential bookings can be made for the current and following academic year. Available slots are booked up quickly, particularly for slots within the summer term.

Due to the sole residential usage we offer, we vary our prices based on the number of children attending the visit.

The following prices are indicative and based on groups of 27 or higher. The price per head will increase for smaller groups.

Pricelist - 2024/2025

Zone Month Indicative price
A December to early January from £125 per head
B late January to mid February, September to November from £148 per head
C late February to early April from £157 per head
D mid April to late July from £172 per head

These prices represent the cost for a fully catered, three-day, two-night visit for key stage 1 or 2 children, arriving at approximately 10:30am on day 1 and departing at 2pm on day 3. Accompanying adults are free of charge.

This includes all food and accommodation for resident group members, as well as all teaching costs. Our linked charity offers a bursary for children on free school meals, granting a 15% discount for residential visits.

If your intended trip does not fit within this pattern, contact the Minstead Study Centre office team.

Pricing for day visits

Standard day visits take place from approximately 9:30am to 2:30pm. The price for these visits is £11 per head.

Depending on residential occupancy, we can also occasionally offer longer day visits, which take place until 5pm. The price for these visits is £17.50 per head.

Much longer day visits which include an outdoor cooked evening meal, evening activity, and campfire to finish the day take place until 8pm. The price for these visits is £30 per head.

Day visit bookings are adapted around the activities being undertaken by residential groups. As a result, not all types of day visit are available each day.
