Adoption support
Children and young people who are adopted can find day to day life challenging. We understand and want to support children and families who find emotional triggers, identity, or childhood development difficult at times.
We will listen to what is happening in your world and find ways to support you and your family. We take a holistic approach when supporting you, underpinned by our team’s expertise and understanding of trauma, attachment, and identity.
Depending on your needs, we will consider a range of options which could include in-house support, educational psychologist sessions, therapeutic parenting support, workshops or a meet-up with one of our caring and supportive adoptive parent mentors. We may also be able to suggest other specialist practitioners that we work with through our assessment process including adoption support funding (Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund).
To help you, we have produced a guide to adoption support for pre and post adoptive families and young people.
Every family is different, and we are here to embark on these journeys with you and help you as much as we can
Please get in touch with us; talking over the phone or meeting with us will identify which approach will best support you and/or your family’s needs. To find out more about our range of services, read our guide.
