Social events and community connections

We are proud to have a diverse and welcoming adoption community where families can share experiences and feel connected. These can be through our hosted activities or their own social networks across the Adopt South region.

To keep those connections strong, we organise a variety of events throughout the year. These gatherings give families the chance to have fun together, meet other parents and young people, and build lasting friendships. Whether you are catching up with familiar faces or meeting someone new, there is always time to chat and connect. Our team is also on hand if you would like to ask questions or talk about anything adoption-related.

Twice a year, we host Family Fun events for as many Adopt South families as possible. These days are packed with exciting activities in a safe, exclusive location. Think African drumming, interactive reptile experiences, children’s archery, sensory play, craft making, and even football with Hampshire FA. Over 100 families come together on a pre-planned Saturday (with plenty of notice), usually in a school or community venue.

We also run Fun at the Farm events in Southampton, which are perfect for younger children. They all love meeting and gently handling small animals like ducklings and rabbits, making it a memorable day for the whole family.
