Keeping in Touch reviews for adoptive parents
Find out about how Adopt South's Keeping in Touch Team review Keeping in Touch arrangements with your adopted child
Keeping in Touch arrangements are reviewed regularly to ensure they meet your child's needs as they grow. Your Keeping in Touch review will look at how your current Keeping in Touch arrangements are working for you and others involved, as well as hear your child’s feelings and wishes.
Reviews help us to:
- put your child at the heart of all arrangements
- reflect what is best for your child
- consider your child's views
- encourage connections with your child’s birth relatives
- share your child’s life events with birth relatives, updates on your child's progress and significant life events as they get older
We understand a review can bring a mixture of emotions, but we want to reassure you that we are here to support you and your child.
Keeping in Touch is voluntary and for any changes to be made, everyone involved must agree to them.
If you think a review would be beneficial, please contact us on our Advice and Support line on 03707 795 000 or email us at [email protected].

What happens during a review?
During a review, our team will ask all those adults involved in the Keeping in Touch arrangements for your child and how things are working. We want to hear what’s going well and what may require changes to make sure your child is receiving the contact they need.
