Thinking About Adopting Again? New event for adoptive families
Firstly, we would like to thank you. Families like yours understand the difference a loving and permanent family can make to a child.
We are delighted to welcome you and your family, and grateful that you are considering adopting again. We are excited to help you explore what welcoming another child through adoption might look like for your family.
Adopting Again: Online Adoption Information Event is designed for families who have adopted before and are interested in finding out more about welcoming another child through adoption. Approved foster carers considering adoption are also welcome to attend.
We plan to share information, experiences and insights to help you decide whether adoption or adopting again could be right for you and your family.
Whether you adopted recently or several years ago, this is an opportunity to explore what adoption might look like for your family today. As you have already been through the approval process, you may be able to complete a fast-track assessment, which could take as little as four months.

You will also hear from an adoptive parent who adopted again. They will share their experiences of matching, coming home and what family life is like now.
We recognise that you already bring valuable experience, insight and knowledge, which could help a child, or a group of siblings, flourish and thrive.
We want you to feel comfortable during our online session, so cameras can remain off if you prefer. At the start of the event, your host will check in with everyone to see what feels right for the group. Some families may enjoy having their cameras on and connecting with other adoptive parents who share a similar interest. Others may prefer to listen and reflect. Whatever your preference, you will be very welcome to participate in a way that feels comfortable to you.
There will also be time at the end of the session to ask questions using the chat function, and we will aim to answer as many as possible.
