Adopt South praised in partnership local authority Ofsted inspections
Adopt South has received positive feedback in all four of its local authority partners’ most recent Ofsted reports
Over the last 18 months, children’s services for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton have all been inspected by Ofsted.
Adopt South is the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for the four authorities, responsible for finding the best family matches for children, as well as supporting families, young people, adopted adults and birth families.
- Hampshire’s July 2024 report praised our extensive training for prospective and approved adopters, including our focus on therapeutic parenting
- Portsmouth’s May 2023 report commended our thorough matching process, achieving permanent families for many children earlier
- Isle of Wight’s November 2023 inspection recognised our strong support for adoptive parents and our Keeping in Touch services
- Southampton’s June 2023 report emphasised the strength of our partnership and our support for adoptive families and life story work
