Adult Social Care's plans and goals
Our goal is to help people to live long, healthy and happy lives, with the maximum possible independence.
Priority areas
We will do this by focusing on three priority areas of Adult Social Care and Public Health.
Delivering our plans and goals
The delivery of our plans and goals in 2023 to 2024 was made possible through the involvement of our residents and partners.

Listening and learning from diverse voices across Hampshire
We actively seek to involve local people and our partners to help shape social care services and inform decision-making we call this co-production.
There are a range of active forums where people with first-hand experience of social care services can get involved, including a newly created older peoples forum. If you would like to find more about any of the forums that we work with, visit our co-production website where you can also find out about how to get involved.
We’re growing our Community Researchers programme and the Hampshire Perspectives residents forum. To ensure every voice in our diverse community is heard, sign up to Hampshire Perspectives and share your perspective.
Our service user feedback form means people who use our services can easily tell us what worked well and what didn’t after engaging with us.
Working and engaging with our partners
The County Council has continued to work effectively with key partners in the public, private and voluntary sector to drive better health outcomes for all our residents.
Supporting the delivery of our strategy is a team effort
In Hampshire, our dedicated staff play a crucial role in delivering high-quality adult social care. Drawn from all walks of life social workers to care assistants, administrators to public health experts each team member brings their unique skills and compassion to support our community. Through their collaboration, our adult social care and public health strategies come to life, making a positive impact on lives every day.

Impact Adult Care Training
The challenges in recruiting social care staff are well known and are not new, we are proud of and committed to training, developing and growing our staff by providing high-quality effective training.
This commitment continues with providers from the independent sector who can access specialised training resources via the County Council’s Impact Adult Care Training.
