Physical Activity
Physical Activity
Nationally only 32% of boys and 24% of girls aged 5-15 years are physically active. Children who are more active are more likely to be active adults.
Children should be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day. Thirty of these should be at school. By incorporating physical activity into the school day, this can easily be achieved.
There is a strong link between educational outcomes and the health and wellbeing of students. Staff in education settings are uniquely placed to use universal and targeted physical activity interventions to make a positive difference.
