As part of a project by The D-Day Story museum, in this fascinating talk Chris Barrington Brown will cover the broad issues in mounting the invasion, the logistical challenges, and 'hidden' marshalling camps, with a particular focus on those near Lepe and local history.
Chris Barrington Brown spent 12 years in the Regular Gunners and 33 in the Reserves, specialising in ‘cyber’ and finishing his time teaching Non-Kinetic Targeting at the Royal School of Artillery. He retired from his defence and counter-terrorism software business in mid-2022 and has embarked on a project to document and explain the logistic build-up to D-Day and is considered a specialist in the D-Day Marshalling Area camps.
This is a free event and open for all to attend - Usual parking charges apply.
Refreshments will be available to purchase from the cafe.
