Providing shelter and breeding areas for wildlife
At a range of the sites we manage, we regularly build and install boxes and nests for wildlife to provide shelter and breeding areas.
An example of this is the repurposed roofing tiles we’ve put out to provide shelter from avian predation at Lymington and Keyhaven Marshes Local Nature Reserve with the support of volunteers. These tiles will help protect birds when they’re nesting and since these were installed both Ringed Plovers and Little Terns have been observed using them.
