A short history of the parish of Buriton
The parish of Buriton lies immediately south of Petersfield in eastern Hampshire. The South Downs form a magnificent backdrop. This dramatic scenery, in the heart of the National Park, is also of international biological and landscape importance.

Directions
A circular route (clockwise) using rights of way and short stretches of local lanes.
This routes starts and ends at the Halls Hill public car park. It includes hanger woodlands, followed by views over the village and eastwards along the downs before descending to traverse a number of well-tended fields and the ‘hidden valley’ of The Links to reach Buriton village.
The walk follows the Hangers Way from the village pond to the starting point.
