Calshot Activities Centre in Hampshire is one of the largest Outdoor Adventure Centres in Britain and is run by Hampshire County Council. Off-shore Wreck
An incident involving a burning boat , occurred just off-shore from Calshot Activities Centre yesterday (Monday 8/02/10), and this has been well reported by local media.
The wreck has run aground on the sand bar just off-shore, is submerged at high tide and may represent a hazard to windsurfers and kite-surfers.
It is believed that arrangements are being made for the removal of the wreck.
However until such times as this happens, great care should be taken when sailing in this area.
