Camping

Calshot Activities Centre’s campsite is located within the New Forest National Park, at the end of Calshot Spit

Positioned in a prime location for campers to enjoy stunning views over the Solent, Southampton Water and the Isle of Wight.

The campsite provides an ideal base to explore the New Forest, enjoy watersports, tour the Tudor castle (ask at the centre for opening times/dates) or simply relax on the beach and watch the world (and the cruise ships) go by. For those seeking local activities and amenities, the campsite is situated within one of the largest outdoor activity centres in the UK which offers a variety of adventure sports and facilities for both individuals and families.

The Calshot campsite is licensed to provide short stay camping for caravans, motorhomes and tents. Facilities for campers include toilets, showers, electric hook ups and a chemical waste disposal point.

The campsite field is open to approved members only.

The ground at Calshot can be both very wet and very dry, depending on the weather. This leaves the ground very soft and muddy in some circumstances and very hard and dry in others. The campsite is adjacent to the beach, meaning the ground is stony under the surface. Please be aware of this when considering what camping equipment to bring.
