How to leave or opt out

If you leave or opt out of the pension scheme and you have less than three months membership and you have not transferred in any other pension rights, then you will be entitled to a refund of your contributions.

If you leave or opt out of the pension scheme and you have more than three months membership or you have transferred in any other pension rights, then you will be entitled to a deferred pension if you are under retirement age. A deferred pension is payable at State Pension Age.
