Climbing clubs for young people
Our climbing clubs are the ultimate adventure for young beginners and those looking to elevate their climbing and safety skills. With a structured development programme, we ensure an exciting and safe environment that transforms young enthusiasts into independent and confident climbers for life.
Each group includes an exciting experience session where your child can try roped climbing before committing to the respective club. Confident climbers with prior experience can join directly without the need for an experience session.
Join us and embark on your climbing journey that combines fun, adventure, and skill-building!
Roped climbing experience sessions
Are you new to climbing or are you not yet sure if you want to commit to a club? We recommend trying one of our experience sessions first to see if your child really enjoys it! These sessions are all about fun, building confidence, and exploration. However, if your child feels confident and ready, they can join the clubs straight away!
Rock Hoppers Club
The Rock Hoppers club offers a variety of games and challenges to keep your child engaged. Sessions begin on our traversing and bouldering walls, and then progress to our auto belays*, where your child can learn to climb taller routes.

Barnacles Club
Climbers will be guided through essential skills to ensure their safety and that of their fellow club members. This includes properly donning safety equipment, securing themselves to the rope, and belaying for other climbers.
Every three weeks, club members can work towards earning the Barnacles climbing and safety certificates, which help children develop their skills and confidence on the wall.

Limpets NICAS Club
Limpets club is split into levels based on the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS).
Find out more about NICAS. NICAS even counts towards GCSE PE!
You can purchase a logbook to record your progress through the NICAS scheme, logging your climbs, belays and boulder problems.
