Adult windsurfing experience
Aimed at beginners with little to no windsurfing experience, this session will build confidence and get you out on the water, standing up and windsurfing in a straight line across the wind.
Following a quick kitting up, we’ll introduce the equipment and cover the basic skills required before taking to the water.
No previous experience required - all you need is a sense of adventure!
You might have a few falls as you get your balance, but it's all good fun - our instructors are encouraging, supportive and patient.
- Those aged 14 and 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult. If this isn’t possible, please look at our youth experiences
- If you already have some experience or would like a more in-depth introduction to windsurfing, please look at our windsurf - RYA start / intermediate courses.
Youth windsurfing experience
Ideal for beginners wishing to get a taste of this thrilling and popular sport, Calshot offers the perfect environment for young people to windsurf, making use of the safe and sheltered conditions created by the spit itself.

We’re focused on making sure children enjoy the experience, aiming to leave participants enthusiastic, keen to have another go and learn more!
