Where we are
We are half a mile from Junction 8 off the M27, between Portsmouth and Southampton. Navigate to Pylands Lane and follow the road through the park to the signposted car parks.
If you’re using a sat nav to find your way to the park via the postcode, please use SO31 1BH and look out for brown tourist information signs to guide you in the right direction.

The Barn
The Barn is a great location to start and end your visit. With a café, indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and information about the park, it’s the perfect place to kick off a wander around the park or relax before you head home.
Food
If you’re looking for refreshments, we’ve got you covered. Visit The Barn Café for hot and cold drinks, cooked breakfasts, pastries and delicious cakes. If you’re visiting outside of The Barn’s opening hours, there’s a vending machine selling hot drinks and healthy snacks.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome in the park. Follow our paw print prompts around the site for when to put your dog on a lead and when they can run free. Be aware that there are livestock fields throughout the park - particularly near the farm.

Toilets
- The Barn has accessible toilets that are open for use during The Barn’s opening hours
- Our Toplands car park has toilet facilities that are open during park opening hours
- The old Barnfield kiosk toilets are accessible and open with radar lock outside of opening hours
- Manor Farm has toilets outside of the pay zone, so park visitors can also use these
Accessibility
A network of well-surfaced trails allows easy exploration of the country park, with benches located along the routes.
The Barn at Barnfield offers the best starting point for visitors with wheelchairs and pushchairs. From the tarmac car park, you can follow a trail past The Barn through the woodland and along the riverside.
