A woodland wellbeing forest bathing session normally lasts for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Expect a mindful, slow paced stroll immersed in the natural environment. We will be moving at approximately 2-3 miles an hour.
The session will be led by Kate from Woodland Wellbeing, a Shirin-Yoku (forest bathing) practitioner. She will invite participants to join in activities developed to help engage all their senses in the Shirin-Yoku experience. There will also be the opportunity for quiet reflection. As the session draws to a close participants will pause for a restorative tea and to share their experiences of time spent together in nature.
What you need to know -
- Meet at 10:30am at The Barn.
- The experience will last around 2 hours.
- You may want to bring a small backpack containing a water bottle, extra layer, waterproof or sun cream and hat on warmer days.
- We recommend wearing long trousers and walking shoes or boots, but strong trainers or wellies will do for most of the trails we will use. As we head into Autumn and Winter we expect the sessions to go ahead in all but the worst of weather so extra layers and waterproofs are essential.

- There are limited spaces so please make sure to book.
- Discounted parking charges (code from visitor services given on the day).
