A small coppice of oak, hazel and ash near the M27

Bluebells

About the site

Just off Junction 9 of the M27 in a valley that was once part of the Forest of Bere are the Whiteley Copses. This patchwork of flower meadows and coppice woodlands is now just a few fragmented woodlands.

Berry Coppice is the smallest of the 3 Whiteley Copses at 8.35 acres. Purple Hairstreak butterflies live in the canopy of the oak trees
