Clausentum Fen

About the site

Clausentum Fen wet woodland is situated south of Winchester on the edge of the River Itchen water meadows at St Cross.

Clausentum Fen Conservation Group is an active volunteer group dedicated to the site.

There is a short, pleasant walk alongside the stream where a variety of wildlife can be seen. Species you may come across include the colourful Kingfisher, secretive Water Vole and bright Yellow-flag Iris.
