Funding

The Harbour Authority is entirely self-funded. Its revenue comes from the collection of Harbour dues and fees from the Crown Estate for the management of its private moorings. Harbour dues are set at a level which meets its statutory requirements.

As a publicly accountable body, the Board prioritises maintaining transparency, accountability, integrity and honesty. You can read more detail about this on our governance pages, and our strategic vision and plan. The Harbour Authority will always be keen to listen to the views of stakeholders.
